xperience the exotic marine world with Underwater Barbados. Since 1989 Underwater Barbados has been ideally located on the beach in the centre of the beautiful and tranquil Carlisle Bay. The bay is known to have more fish than any other part of the island and is also home to four ship wrecks which were sunk between 1917 and 1996.
The Dive Shop is fully equipped with an air station, a 31-foot pirogue with a very good boarding ladder and a 16-foot Boston whaler which takes small groups with a maximum of four divers. There are also shower facilities, changing rooms, storage rooms for diving equipment and seminar facilities.
The team of experienced, competent instructors and divemasters are very friendly and are eager to assist. Lead by master scuba instructor Michael Young, the owner and manager of the shop, Michael is an enthusiastic teacher with a wealth of experience and knowledge of the underwater world. He is also an active member of the Barbados Marine Trust and takes every opportunity to educate on the value of the marine life to Barbados.
