he South Point Lighthouse (aka Gordon's Lighthouse) is located at Atlantic Shores, the most southerly point of Barbados in the parish of Christ Church. It has been in existence since 1852 and was the first lighthouse on the island.
The lighthouse is a red and white, cast iron tower 89 ft / 27m in height with lantern and gallery. A focal plane of 145ft / 44m with three white flashes every thirty seconds.
In 2004 the South Point Lighthouse was restored after much deterioration. The tower is closed, but you can still get a close-up view and probably take a photo next to it.
At the moment (2012) this the only lighthouse operational.
