Errol Barrow Park

On November 28th 1987 the Errol Barrow Park was opened in honour of the late Errol Walton Barrow, the first prime minister of Barbados, and the person who took the island into independence.

This community park is used annually to celebrate his life on Errol Barrow Day, a public holiday which is January 21st .

Although not a big park, it is well maintained and has his name decorative spelt out in the garden.

The late Errol Barrow is also one of Barbados' National Heroes.
