airfield Pottery & Gallery is the love and life of the Bells, who are a third generation family of artists and innovators. Our home - Fairfield House has been in the Gilkes/Bell family for well over seventy years now. Maggie, The eldest daughter is the main creative force at the pottery. She followed in her father's footsteps, a full generation later, to study at the same English College where she specialized in industrial ceramics and pottery design.
The production of her unique, original designs is the main thrust of Fairfield Pottery & Gallery. It is the largest pottery in Barbados and was begun as a clay processing plant by her father.
The traditional and contemporary ornamental ware and signature designs of Fairfield Pottery are made from mostly local materials. They are all hand crafted and individually painted to ensure their increasing value over the years. Our products are widely available at our own and other outlets around Barbados.
