Being a coral Island, Barbados is fortunate to be surrounded by over 70 square miles of over 60 of the best Beaches in the Caribbean, with at least 3000 hrs of wonderful sunshine recorded annually. Its palm fringed coral sand and virgin white beaches are overlapped by crystal clear turquoise waters, while boasting an almost perfect climate. In Barbados, beaches range from pink sand to the purest white, and are never overcrowded.
Barbados meets the Atlantic on its East Coast and the Caribbean Sea on its West Coast. Each coastline is very different from the next giving the island a variation of beaches to choose from. You can experience from the calm, warm waters of the west coast to the pounding, rugged surf of the east coast, so your days can be spent as relaxing or as action-filled as you choose.
Beaches in Barbados tend to start with calm seas and have small waves on the west coast, with the conditions becoming more active the more south or north you go.
