This little island Barbados offers a variety of festivals throughout the year from Carnivals to Street fairs, Culinary to Sports festivals and many Cultural extravaganzas, all of which showcase the diversity of our culture and talents.
The National Cultural Foundation (NCF) of Barbados produces the national festivals every year including the Crop Over Festival which is the premier cultural event in Barbados and the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA) which is held annually to commemorate Independence.
Some festivals are more community oriented while the sports festivals which attract international teams, combine music and culture at historic venues, making for memorable events.
The music festivals are extremely popular like the Jazz Festival and the Reggae Festival just to name a few, which mix internationally acclaimed artistes with our own local talent.
There are also smaller festivals which are created by local Promoters, local organisations and communities.
