Barbados West Coast Beach ScenesWhen visiting the many, gorgeous West Coast Beaches in Barbados, you will witness miles of uninterrupted clean, white sandy beaches on which you can relax and enjoy the warm sunshine.

The west coast of Barbados is also recently known as the 'Platinum Coast' or previously the 'Gold Coast' and runs north from the capital Bridgetown until the end of the parish St. Peter. This coast is excellent for watersports, Snorkelling, Sailing cruises, picnics, romantic walks or just swimming with the turtles. There are great Restaurants and Bars as well as many Accommodations along the west coast. You can choose from luxurious Hotels and Villas to beautifully maintained Guest Houses and Apartments. You can also enjoy some duty-free and souvenir shopping after your dip or some of the sights before you hit the beach.

Barbados West Coast beaches are situated in the Caribbean Sea, which is why the waters are calm, warm and crystal clear. Although not as much for the adventurous as the south coast, these beaches are considered more idyllic. West Coast beaches have a wide appeal especially to families, retired couples, teenagers and kids or anyone looking for safe beaches, relaxation and lots of fun.

We have also provided a chart of Beach Amenities on the west coast for those who want a quick look at what each beach has to offer.

Now you should rent-a-car or scooter, visit the many beautiful beaches of the west coast, explore the tranquil waters or just relax, but please do remember your sunscreen.
